Credit card applications do take some time, depending on the bank.

Yes, it’s much better to apply for visa when you’re employed or have a source of income that you can prove. Hopefully you were able to sort it out!

Hi Ciara, your case is unique since you’ve been to South Korea already. I think they’re just making sure you aren’t going there to work and using a tourist visa to apply for work is frowned upon. I know it sucks but it’s their country, their rules, I’m afraid.

Hi Aira,

I don’t know about your specific situation, best to ask the agency that processes visa application or the South Korean Embassy.

But for credit cards, even if it’s a new one, as long as you get the first statement, that’s what counts. Make sure to use it first, pay for groceries or Grab so there’s something reflected in the statement.

Hi Maiah, I really don’t know. It’s best to email the embassy of South Korea about your specific situation. There are many things to consider in your case. Are you still a minor? If you’re going to South Korea with your Mom, then there’s no problem.
